

Marco Aurelio Kato
Marco Aurélio Kato is an architect graduated from FAU USP (School of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo). He studied design at the Art Center College of Pasadena, in California/USA. He was the founding partner of Rex Design, one of the most awarded design studios in Brazil. He organized the Bienal de Design Gráfico (Graphic Design Biennial Event) in 1998, 1999 and 2004, as the director of the Associação dos Designer Gráficos (ADG Brasil – Brazilian Association of Graphic Designers). He was the curator of the 2006 Bienal ADG and a professor at ESPM and Miami Ad School São Paulo. Through the REX Publishing House, he published the books “Eu Odeio Livros” and “Papai Design”, and co-authored the book “Design? Vinhos!”.
As the head of Kong Rex, he is the creative and strategy director, and integrates his expertise in consumer brands into the creation of identities, packaging, POP and chain store materials.
